We, for example, need the basic elements of nature, such as: air, food, water, sunlight etc. No organism is an isolated, static system, closed off to the outside world. Rather, it is characterized by an open system that exists in a constant movement of exchange of information among many diverse levels. For example, each of us was born into a family system that has existed for many years and for which we do not fully know its history.
